Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's texts addressing the 'shift' in their friendship revealed: 'That's just caused a little distance'
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's private texts over the status of their friendship have been revealed.Multiple US outlets are reporting that unsealed court documents see the pair address their relationship and an apparent "shift" and some "distance".At one point Swift, 36, tells Gossip Girl star Lively, 38, in the pleasant exchange: "I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself."Watch the videos above.The unsealed texts, with other documents saying it's a conversation between the pair, come amid Lively's legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni, and ahead of a summary judgement.They were reportedly exchanged in December 2024."I have no reason to ask, but I donno [sic], I've been feeling like I should... is everything ok?" I didn't realize (sic) that until you pointed it out, but I see it.""On top of that, I'm over packaging simple things bc I've felt so deeply misunderstood that I don't trust my judgement of myself anymore..."She added an apology, writing: "So thank you for telling me and for saying I don't need to apologize (sic) and for not making it a big deal. But I am sorry. To you."To some of Lively's joke corporate jargon, Swift replied in one part: "First paragraph took me OUT."Lively reportedly told Swift she was "excited" for Swift to wrap up her tour and "be done with suitcases, constant sinus infections and torn up kneecaps".It remains unclear the exact status of their relationship now amid the legal battle.The singer's legal team previously denied that she agreed to sit for a deposition in the case. Just last year, it was reported that Justin Baldoni's $611million ($US400million) defamation countersuit against his It Ends With Us co-star Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds had been formally ended by a federal judge in New York.Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni continues in May 2026.The actress first sued for alleged sexual harassment and claims he tried to ruin her reputation.
