Prague, Czech Republic —  October 4, 2025  - The recently concluded Prague Business & Investment Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry for the Philippines and the Czech Republic, was a landmark success in building global trade bridges, said Stepan Klokockla, Principal Organizer of the Trade, together with RPConnect.

Gathering high-level investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from the Czech Republic proved to be more than just a meeting—it became a platform where ideas transformed into opportunities and opportunities into concrete partnerships.

The presence of the following reinforced strong institutional support for cross-border ventures between Europe and Asia: H.E. Eduardo Martin R. Menez, Philippine Ambassador to the Czech Republic ; Ms. Marison Rodriguez, Chairperson of ENFiD – representing Filipino diaspora networks across 13 European countries; Mr. Eduard Muřický, Deputy Minister and Director General, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

Among the highlights was the major presentation of Louis Durand of Ceres Ingenium and Noubikko Ulanday, who unveiled the development plan of Mayor Lucilo Bayron of Puerto Princesa—the MICE Project (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions).

Durand, who traveled from Geneva to present the plan, received a standing ovation from economists for his compelling vision. The project aims to position Puerto Princesa as the premier Convention Hub of the Philippines, offering attractive incentives such as:

  • Six years of income tax holidays
  • Duty-free importation of equipment and goods
  • Favorable long-term land lease agreements
