Pamela Anderson admits she fled Golden Globes to avoid a run-in with one Hollywood star
Pamela Anderson admits she fled the Golden Globes ceremony to avoid an awkward encounter with Seth Rogen, who was behind a miniseries that depicted one of the most painful times in her life.Rogen was one of the executive producers of Pam & Tommy, the 2022 series that detailed the theft of a sex tape made during Anderson's ill-fated marriage to rocker Tommy Lee.Anderson, who is enjoying a career resurgence, had the enviable task of presenting the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, which was won by Aussie Rose Byrne, but has now admitted she fled the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel straight afterwards to avoid Rogen, who was seated nearby.Anderson, 58, was appearing on Andy Cohen's show on SiriusXM when she revealed she left the Globes ceremony after presenting the award, in part to avoid Rogen, who was seated in 'the pit' area closest to the stage."He was in the pit at the Golden Globes so we were close," she said, adding she found his close proximity unsettling. She said she felt like she was "tip-toeing around" being so close to the actor, who won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for the series The Studio, so thought it was better to leave, but not before she gave him a piece of her mind – in her head."I didn't make a beeline for him, but in my mind, I did," she told Cohen, "and really told him how I felt."READ MORE: The friend by Ben Affleck's side during darkest daysREAD MORE: Shock question star was asked about wife's dementiaREAD MORE: Timothée Chalamet's reveals on-set encounterAnderson's anger over the Pam & Tommy project is two-fold. Not only did it rehash an extremely painful time in her life, but she was never forewarned or asked for input."Seth Rogen, he did that [series] without talking to me," she said."I just felt like, 'Eh', you know?"Like, how can someone make a TV series out of the difficult times in your life, and I'm a living, breathing human being over here? Hello!"I don't know. It just felt a little yucky. But eventually, hopefully he will, maybe he'll reach out to me and apologise."When asked by Cohen if an apology would 'mean something', she instead addressed how the series affected her."Well, you are free game. When you are a public person they say you have no right to privacy," she said."But your darkest, deepest secrets or your tragedies in your life shouldn't be fair game for [a] TV series."That p---sed me off a little bit."For a daily dose of 9honey, subscribe to our newsletter here. This is not the first time Anderson has given her thoughts on the series. In 2023, she told Howard Stern she felt like she had been 'run over' when she first learned about the project through an advertisement after it was already made. She was at pains to make clear she had no involvement in the project."It's nothing to do with me," she said."I remember seeing this advert for Pam & Tommy and was like, 'What?'"No one called me. I'm still alive, [but] no one asked me. I felt kinda run over by that one."Instead, Pamela addressed the sex tape drama and the series in her own 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. "It really gives me nightmares," she said of Pam & Tommy."I didn't sleep last night, at all. I have no desire to watch it. Not going to watch it. Never watched the tape – I'm not going to watch this."FOLLOW US ON WHATSAPP HERE: Stay across all the latest in celebrity, lifestyle and opinion via our WhatsApp channel.
