Smartwings Launches Direct Prague–Lisbon Flights This Autumn

Smartwings will introduce a new direct route between Prague and Lisbon this autumn, giving travelers a nonstop connection to the Portuguese capital for the first time through the Czech carrier’s regular network. The new service will begin operating on October 23, with flights departing three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets are already available across Smartwings’ distribution channels, with one-way fares starting at CZK 2,934, including standard hand luggage. The launch reflects growing demand among Czech travelers for convenient access to popular European destinations. Lisbon has become an increasingly sought-after city break destination, attracting visitors with its historic neighborhoods, coastal setting, food scene and mild climate. “We have been observing increasing interest among Czech passengers in attractive European destinations for a long time. That is why we continue to expand our network of scheduled routes,” said Michal Váňa, Sales Director of Smartwings. He added that the new connection would allow passengers to reach one of Europe’s most visited capitals without the need for a transfer. Lisbon will become the airline’s fourth destination in Portugal.
