Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to the hospital in the middle of Moulin Rouge!'s performance on March 31. The 31-year-old rapper has since shared an update with her fans about what caused the sudden hospitalisation, admitting it made her re-think her health. "Last night was a real wake-up call for me," the artist, born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, wrote on Instagram on April 1.Watch the video above. "I've been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn't," the post continued. The Savage singer's representative shared more details about her diagnosis."Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms," they told E! News.Vasoconstriction refers to the narrowing of blood vessels due to muscle constriction. According to the Cleveland Clinic, "Vasoconstriction can help or hurt your body, depending on the situation."When you're outside in the cold, peripheral vasoconstriction helps your body keep from losing too much heat by making less blood flow to your skin."The star's representative continued, "Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting.
