'Major damage' as Super Typhoon Bavi makes landfall on US Pacific islands

The eye of the Category 5 super typhoon passed over the tiny island of Rota Monday morning local time, bringing winds of more than 241 km/h, also hitting the nearby islands of Guam, Tinian and Saipan.
