In heartbreak for Australia, Delta Goodrem has missed out on claiming the Eurovision crown.Australia was right behind the Bulgaria the entire time as votes flooded in.But in the end the European country snatched the title.The singer contained her reaction after her loss, counting down to the end of the voting with her husband Matthew Copley by her side.Watch the video above"That's it," she said in an Instagram story, before going to her husband's side and hugging him."That's it, votes are done" she said, shrugging and gesturing with her hand up in defeat. It seemed as if her eyes were misty, and she was holding back tears as she processed her loss.Australia placed fourth with 287 points, behind Romania with 296 points, Israel with 343 points, and the winner Bulgaria, who won with 516 points.Australia appeared to be the crowd favourite, according to UK TV host Graham Norton, who noted from the ground, "If the audience could crown a winner right now, they would give it Australia. I hope her star power doesn't go against her."Delta's hit song, Eclipse, helped her make it to the Grand Final alongside countries including Malta, Denmark, Norway, Albania and Cyprus.For her show-stopping performance, Goodrem wore a gold glittering dress and was on a raising platform as she belted out the song, wowing fans.For a daily dose of 9honey, subscribe to our newsletter here.Pyrotechnics also went off behind her, as she performed to cheers from the crowd.However, it was not enough to clinch victory.Nine.com.au spoke to Goodrem in an exclusive chat right before she jetted off to Vienna to represent Australia in the song contest. The singer said she "loved" all the positivity around her entry."I love it, I love the passion, the positivity," she told nine.com.au."I'm gonna take all this incredible good energy and vibes with me and fly over to Vienna with it all."
