‘Glee’ Star Naya Rivera Presumed Dead After Boating Incident: Officials

Gleeactress Naya Rivera is now presumed lifeless after a boating incident in Southern California, and authorities stated the mission has changed from a search-and-rescue to a restoration.

Rivera, 33, disappeared on a rented boat at a lake on Wednesday, authorities informed local news outlets.

She was reported lacking after a visit to Lake Piru in Ventura County. The actress and her son, Four-year-old Josey Dorsey, have been in a pontoon boat and swimming the water.

Employees later found the vessel together with her sleeping son on board, officials stated. Rivera was nowhere to be found.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Thursday that efforts to seek out Rivera at the moment are a “search and restoration operation” and she or he’s presumed lifeless, in line with the BBC and TMZ.

In a statement, the office stated that “a number of groups of professional search and rescue personnel are actively looking Lake Piru for any clues to the situation” of Rivera, who performed Santana Lopez on the Fox collection for six seasons.

Two other actors who appeared on “Glee” have died in recent times. Mark Salling, who performed “Puck” on the show, dedicated suicide in January 2018 after he was accused of assault and possession of kid pornography.

Years before that, Cory Monteith was found lifeless in a Vancouver, Canada, lodge room. Officers later ruled that he died of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
